Vegan Status
Each additive description will have one of three vegan statuses:
Vegan - The additive is confirmed as being vegan. No animal parts are used in the production or sourcing of the additive.
Caution - The additive may or may not contain animal parts. Further research into the particular product you are searching an additive status for is required to confirm if that product contains a vegan or non vegan version of the additive.
Not Vegan - The additive is confirmed to be not vegan.

Some food additive search apps are more accurate than others. Each additive in our app has been thoroughly checked to ensure the accuracy of the vegan status of each additive.
 
Does this app show EU additive numbers?
NO. If you are in the EU, Australia or New Zealand, our Fussy Vegan Additive Search has all approved additives listed by their designated numbers. As the USA does not use the additive numbering system, we have made this version of the app to list all additives by name rather than additive number.
